Yesterday I put in my application to be a tutor for the summer program I was once a part of through out my time in high school. I can't believe the tutors that were there back when I was going were the same age I am now. If I get the job, I'd be filled with such feelings of things coming full circle.

Taking the taxi to the airport the nice asian driver asked, "What are you majoring?" I replied with a friendly tone, "Oh, I'm double-majoring in Film and English." He paused for a moment then said, "Wow, that sounds impressive," and he really did seem surprised. I don't know, it felt nice to here that from someone, even if it was from a random taxi driver. Three more years and maybe I'll finally get that degree.

The terminal wasn't as packed as it normally is, and I made the mistake of arriving at the suggested time (instead of arriving at the gate just in time, like usual). Thirty minutes before boarding, and the gate was deserted. Everyone in Hawaii arrives promptly at the time thats listed, not earlier or later. Working retail and having to sell concert tickets, this was hell to me.

Got home, excited to be back. I told my Dad that he needed to make sure I go out and do stuff the whole time I'm back, instead of just lying around being lazy. There's beaches to go to and people to see.

Oh Oh Oh, and I get to pick up a special copy of Mad Men I special ordered. My friend made fun of me till no end when she heard me calling long-distance to a video store where I was traveling to, just so my copy would be there when I flew back home. She thought that this was excessive, and seemed "criminal" by the way I was making arrangements, like smuggling goods or arranging a meet up to whack someone (in code, cause you can't really say that stuff over the phone).
